Rain-Story
"Don’t threaten me with love, baby. Let’s just go walking in the rain."- Bobby Rain. |

On a rainy day,
I dress myself in soft
linen,
Flowers be my trinkets,
I darken my eyes with kohl,
Tint my lips with covert
flush.
On a rainy day,
I dream of you, lying on the
couch,
I curl my locks with
fingers, dreamily,
Muse over the sepia days.
On a rainy day,
I make paper-boats and sail,
To the world of
‘used-to-be’s
And, cherish every bit of
them.
On a rainy day,
I wait on the casement for
you,
Doodle on the wet glass,
Draw heart-marks with
blushing cheeks.
On a rainy day,
You would come, I predict,
You would kiss my forehead,
And, we’d get drenched too.
