Unwinding

Source

Who has seen the wind?
Who has touched it yet?
Like the image within one’s heart,
Untouched and unharmed.

Who has seen the wind?
Or dared hold it back?
Like an untamed horse,
Wild and wayward.

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
Like our deepest cores,
Still unexplored, enclosed.

This poem is shared with Carry On Tuesday and the prompt was the first two lines of Christina Rossetti's very short poem "Who has seen the wind?"

  15. I find the poem about the wind to be very refreshing, deeply spiritual and very broadening for the sake of personal reflection. The poem reminds me of the nature of humanity and the humanity of nature and shows the Creating Force (The God Concept) to be mutually inclusive and life-giving and sustaining. It is a powerful little poem that leaves a lasting mark and I have sincerely appreciated reading it. Thank you for sharing.
