Have You Ever?
Have you heard a
Magpie sing?
Or witnessed a
dancing peacock?
Or have you ever felt
the warmth
Of my tender heart
within your hands?
Have you searched for
a rising sun?
Or found the source
of a rainbow?
Or have you ever
noticed the tears
Hiding behind my
mournful eyes?
Have you chased you
sweetest dream?
Or ran away from the
hardest truth?
Or have you ever
searched for my sore soul
Amidst your cluttered
life?
Have you been lived
alone?
Or painted your
pillow with colours of grief?
Or have you ever thought of
finding salvation in death?
Or have you ever thought of
finding salvation in death?
If you ever have, my
love,
Tell me, how it feels
To be a nonentity,
To be worthless to
your love.
I know how it feels,
Yes, so I beg of you.
Don’t tread on my
broken heart,
Until you let me go.
Nice!
ReplyDeleteSpeaks of deep grief, it does. This type of situation does seem to occur often but I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
ReplyDeleteVery well put. The questions actually give more meaning to what you're trying to say.
