And It Rained Again

You took me far from the mainland planes,
You hold my hand till it pained.
Cloudy sky that was never seen before,
Charmed my eyes; I was restrained.

You and I were there alone,
Ripped the strings of reticence.
Hand on hands, eyes on eyes,
Your charm at once enchanted my sense.

We sat too late, we talked too long,
We promised to meet later on.
The cloud was grey, rainy thus,
We waited till the rain came on.

Yes, the rain start off then,
It drizzled first, and then showered.
With you, my first rain it was,
Beneath the moist sky, our love towered.

The rain poured love on us,
My eyes were engaged to yours.
Your smile was in love with mine,
We felt our hearts insured.

A year is passed since we get along,
Our love has deepened.
But not the way it was before,
Calm and quite quietened.

No time for me you have,
Neither can I play a part.
But I know everything is unchanged,
If not in the mind, then for sure in heart.

You are still so my love,
I know I have more to gain.
Because it’s back what we lost,
Look, it rained again.

  6. Beautiful. I love the rain. :) This is sad if his first flush of love wore off and he no longer pays her the attention he ought to. Very nice poem. Lovely imagery.
