Shackled Angel
Have you seen a fallen angel?
A divine soul and celestial figure,
All muddled in this material world,
Inked and poisoned by the supremacy,
Demeaned and disgraced by sovereignty.
With utmost power and tyranny.
They rip her wings off forcibly,
Blackens them with disregard and insolence.
Those cold blooded reptiles,
Creeps on her body, snaps with their fangs
Everywhere, with dreadful avarice.
They keep her in a birdcage,
With gold bars and shackles.
But, the spirit in her never dies,
The body gets hurt but not the soul,
Shackled angel, mortal yet ceaseless.
Shackled angel, fettered yet alive.
This was very deep rooted and inspiring for all women.. thanks fr sharing dear :)

ReplyDeleteAww, thank you so much dearie :)
Deleteit's sad when society puts certain people in cages and robs them of all they are... and yet they hopefully won't manage to destroy their heart and soul... reminded me of Marie Durand whom they locked up in a tower because of what she believed in - she never gave up but on the contrary was a light for those around her...
ReplyDeleteI was totally unaware of this story. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. I too get hurt when certain people are dominated by the so called "who's who" of the society. Thank you for being here and appreciating my work :)
